What a difference a year makes!

We first told you about how proud we were to be supplying special parts for this very special project by owner Mick Beardmore back in May 2017. 

As with most projects, things do not always go totally to plan. However, Mick has overcome the technical challenges and produced a completely stunning and unique Sanctuary style Z1A. The total no-compromise approach and attention to detail demonstrated by Mick himself and Chris Daniels
at the Motorcycle Restoration Company are a real credit to their shared and dedicated engineering prowess.

A 17" wide Sculpture aluminium box-section swingarm, in silver, is fitted with Sanctuary drive chain roller, red Nitro Racing paddock stand hooks,  and holds the 5.50 x 17 OZ Racing Piega 5 spoke rear wheel which is fitted with a Renthal 530 x 42T Rear Sprocket.  Fully adjustable Ohlins KA 446 - Zephyr 1100 Shock Road & Track piggyback shocks with yellow springs fitted provide the rear suspension.

The frame is braced using a PMC Chromoly reinforcement kit. Nitro Racing rear sets provide somewhere to place your feet and hold the rear brake lever to operate the Nissin master cylinder pumping fluid to the Sanctuary mounted rear brake caliper

The enlarged and tuned power plant has been fitted with a new PMC starter motor and PMC automatic hydraulic cam chain tensioner. Additional cooling is available from the PMC bracket mounted, 13-row Earls wide oil cooler. Which is fed from Earls plumbing and billet oil takeoffs. Mick painted reproduction engine covers matt black and fitted black PMC billet kickstart and cam ends. 

Sanctuary billet head nuts are fitted and a Nitro Racing red anodized billet clutch release plate holds the Nissin clutch slave and covers the custom 23mm offset Talon front sprocket.  A Pingel fuel tap quenches the engine's thirst while the stunning Nitro Racing hand bend titanium exhaust takes care of the gasses. A PMC hybrid harness energizes the Dyno S ignition system and the rest of the electrics for the bike. 

Black Ohlins FG-433 convention forks are held in place with a black billet Sculpture TYPE1 43mm triple tree yoke. The 3.50 x 17 5 spoke OZ Racing Piega front wheel is fitted with Sunstar RCM 320mm floating discs. A Nitro Racing axle adapter is used to fit the ZRX front axle to the Ohlins. 

Bodywork is a combination of original and new and has been painted in candy red. Our own aluminium mudguard eliminator keeps the back end tidy and the Daytona RCM seat finishes off the look of this stunning creation. Nitro racing engines sliders are fitted for protection.
